Summary | 0001579: Have an option to require authentication of emails when providing an email to register is not required.
Description | You can turn on requiring email authentication when an email is required to register, but it's not currently possible to require an email to be authenticated if an email is optional to register. I see this as semi-necessary to prevent people from registering with an email they don't own, and having services inadvertently send spam. While requiring an email to register can prevent this, it does restrict the options available to a network operator to a degree. If possible, I think this would be a good feature to implement.
