Summary0001543: NickServ no longer allows wildcards in FORBID due to invalid characters update
DescriptionRunning with UnrealIRCD 3.2.10.1.

Users are now easily able to go through virtually endless variations of unallowed nicks since they must be forbidden individually without the ability to use wildcards with NickServ forbid.
Steps To ReproduceWorks: /nickserv forbid SomeNick
Fails: /nickserv forbid *Some*Nick*

The order makes no difference. Wildcard "?" also cannot be used.
Additional InformationWhile we're on the topic, is it possible to add support for wildcards in ChanServ forbid as well?

NickServ's forbid has never supported wildcards, it only appears to because on some IRCds, such as UnrealIRCd, it also sends a q:line for the forbidden nick, which the IRCd can choose to enforce as a wildcard.

Instead you should use OperServs SQLine command, which is what this command is intended for.

ChanServ is in the same situation.
