Summary | 0001474: Anope 1.8.7 and Unreal IRCd 3.2.10 Link Issue
Description | It appears that something new in Unreal IRCd 3.2.10 has broken part of the link functionality in the Unreal 3.2 protocol in 1.8.7. More specifically relating to BotServ Bots. On Unreal 3.2.9, BotServ bots received usermodes +Sq, which they're supposed to. However, on Unreal 3.2.10, a /whois comes back with * [Bot] is using modes + . No modes. An Anope debug log shows the modes being sent (log in Additional information), but they don't show up in Unreal. Nickserv, Chanserv, etc. still receive their user modes, but BotServ bots do not.
Steps To Reproduce | Link Anope 1.8.7 to Unreal 3.2.9, and observe the usermodes shown in a /whois. Then link to 3.2.10 and do a /whois again.
Additional Information | Mode being sent on link. [Jan 29 04:46:31.172015 2013] debug: Sent: NICK Bot 1 1359423991 Bot services.unovarpgnet.net services.unovarpgnet.net 0 +qS services.unovarpgnet.net * :I'm a BOT! NOT A REAL PERSON! Resulting /whois: * [Bot] is using modes +
