0001492: NickServ kill default not applied to new registrations
The default 'kill' setting for new NickServ registrations is not applied to the database/user.
1) Register a new nickname using NickServ when the 'defaults' setting includes the 'kill' option.
2) Confirm NickServ registration where applicable.
3) Check: /msg NickServ info <nickname>
4) The 'kill' option is not present, even though its set as a default option in the configuration.
Using latest Anope 1.9.9 GIT with unencrypted 'flatfile' database.

In nickserv.conf (under 'nickserv'):

defaults="kill secure private hideemail hideusermask memo_signon memo_receive autoop"

Changing it to 'killprotect' seems to have done the trick. You may want to adjust the configuration examples to match, as they indicate that one needs to use 'kill'.

Thank you kindly!

Change it to killprotect and it should work.
