0001246: services.chk check is not always accurate

Once in while the services get started twice because the check in services.chk doesnt have the correct outcome. Because it removes the services.pid too, it starts over and over. This gets annoying, since you'll see several connection attempts.

0001466: ns_ajoin, non-SSL users and SSL channels on InspIRCd

On InspIRCd, which does not have a umode for SSL users but instead uses metadata for this, the ns_ajoin module's SSL check cannot correctly determine if a user is on SSL or not and erroneously attempts to join the user to the SSL channel.
InspIRCd (tested with 2.0.10) luckily prevents this join and spits out an error to the user.

Anope should use this metadata to determine if a user is using SSL or not for IRCds with no umode for SSL. ratbox for example also seems to have no umode for this.

0001528: Language selection does not work

Launched a test build 1.9.9. Language in the configuration file is not changed. When executing commands "/ns help set language" get a list of available languages, in brackets after which all is one and the same word "Russian" in the Cyrillic alphabet. If I try to change the language to any other language (other than English) the message in Russian that successfully changed the language to Russian, but all messages services continued to be issued in English.

0001530: Anope will not build on Solaris 10 or 11

Any time I try to build Anope on Solaris I receive symbol reference errors. This is the same issue reported in Bug 1227. When cmake gets to anopesmtp the build fails on undefined symbols __xnet_connect, __xnet_socket, gethostbyname, and inet_addr. I have tried additional include directories. Other applications build perfectly well on my setup. I specify /usr/include which contains the headers that contain these symbols.

In the configuration file services.conf option "DisableRaw" uncommented.
When the Root Service run the commands "/OperServ ModLoad os_raw", returns the result:
"-OperServ-Module os_raw loaded".
At the same time, the log-channel receive the following message:
[Os_raw] Unloading because DisableRaw is enabled
Module loading status: 0 (Module, Okay - No Error).

There is a question, why os_raw module is still loaded, despite the lock?

0001525: Host Request Doesn't Show up on waiting list

Well a friend of mine in my IRC server requested a Host using "/hs request".
In my IRC Server, i've set a configuration when someone request for vhost it will send memo. After a minute, I received the memo and quickly checked the host request list using "/hs waiting" and I saw nothing. I told my friend to request again using same command. Then again I received the memo and still nothing in the waiting list. And then I tried to activate it using "/hs activate friend_nick". And then this showed up. COMMAND: Takkun!Takkun@112.207.83.145 used activate for friend_nick for vhost 127.0.0.1.

I just activated my friend's host without seeing it on the waiting list...

0001521: Enforcer won't release nicks

This issue has already been reported and fixed for several other IRC daemons, but we're still seeing this behaviour for ngIRCd.

The enforcer won't release a nick that is registered but not identified for within the set time limit. Instead you'll see it reconnecting the server in a loop. When recovering that nick, NickServ will tell you the nick has been released, but when a user tries to use that nick it'll tell you that the nick is already in use.

The only thing that seems to help is restarting services.

Anope appears to crash as soon as the RECOVER (GHOST) command it used on another logged in nickname.

User2 (issuer) becomes the original User1 (ghost) via SVSNICK, and services crashes.

0001497: Emails being stripped of new (blank) lines.

Anope appears to be trimming/stripping/removing new (blank) lines within email messages sent from any of the pre-configured email templates (new memo, new registration, etc).

Its impossible to separate new paragraphs in emails.

Also, adding only a space in the new (blank) line (without any other text) causes processing of the template to halt (any subsequent text is dropped from the email).

I didn't try to reproduce that, but I've read the code and i've discovered that the cs_mode module does not check for peace settings when checking the access levels of the users it tries to change status of.

I don't think Anope is decrementing the session variable counter for the affected users/hosts when a server they're connected to splits from the network.

This appears to be specific to just InspIRCd.

When trying to link the current stable version of Denora to an InspIRCd 2.2.x network, it complains about the m_globops.so module not being loaded on the upstream server, even though it is.

I've found that by commenting the requirement out of the protocol module as a temporary workaround.

Hello.

Could you please clarify in the example config the use of non-standard prefixes, like +qah in unreal/etc and inspircd, and inspircd custom prefixes?
It may seem confusing at times, like you have AUTOOWNER privilege and AUTOPROTECT privilege that work on all servers having +qa modes available, and they work on inspircd too, but if you will create custom prefixes then you must name them "founder" and "admin".
If you don't do it then you need to create custom privileges, the fun thing is that if you will create privileges named protect and owner, both names will also work.

If Denora restarts (for whatever reason) on an InspIRCd 2.2.x branch IRCd, it does not rejoin the channels on connect.

Probably changes within the protocol that are not compatible.
